yeah quite true, then it gets rear ended and written off

think it can also be programmed to isolate the valve when the alarm is set, probably a better option.

returned the Powerspark unit and got a replacement for free, but then a blow up the MSD  so back to just the powerspark unit and coil.

Also leaving it high for now  and fitted the original front beam torsion springs, which has brought the front end up a touch and it rides great

Good man, you know it makes sense  But i'm not too sure we can let you off the indicator issue

Set off to All types show this morning and van was running rough, only made it about 1 mile before turning back. Long story short the 2nd set of electronic points from Simon bbc, running poor. Having tried everything but the electronic points module as a last resort tried an old set of points and condensor, ran like a dream. So that will be the 2nd set I've returned

With all of the above carry on we arrived quite late at 2.30pm, but got in for free :D

Quite funny seeing folks faces with knobbly tyres on the bay. Some thought it was a syncro bay :D one bloke even told his mate it was a landrover chassis with a bay body   , that was after we had done a little bit of off roading

Went to Le-Mans Classic last weekend (9th July) Brillant event over 450 classics racing and thousands more enroute. Here are some photos of the trip.

Took our Schwinn Stingray choppers, which everyone seemed to love. had a problem with the coil, which when i think about it has been plaguing me for years, so it got a burial at sea, see last pic

Add some Paris Dakar logos, which confused a few folk thinking we where really doing it

Sneeked the bikes into an oraganised display, stopped them being nicked whilst we went for a drink
DSCF5782.jpg

Even reached the dizzy heights of 80MPH on the flat with the larger tyres :D Cant say the same for the hills, dropped down to 40MPH sometimes

Spot the coil mid air?

DSCF5874.jpg

Did 1300 miles, but did have a few problems, luckly nothing major and had enough spares and tools to cope.

list of failures as follows

Dover - burnt coil lead and dizzy cap
Calais - intermittant firing - traced to duff coil
40 miles from Le mans - dropped most of its oil all over my mates MG  misaligned rocker cover gasket

On return journey at M6 toll booth cut out, traced to sheared points, fitted new points and off we went.

The engine ran great (1641cc) but I think I want more power and better MPG, so it's coming out soon, As Ubercooltoo says I need to sell it so I cant be tempted to put it back in, then its either Porsche or Alfa...........................or maybe a Subaru :msn4:

But next stop is getting it ready for UberCooltoo's wedding in September. Then the engine transplant :|
