Hey Mike, bus is looking awesome mate. Is yours the bellcrank linkage? I didn't know they did a spring for that, mine sometimes takes a while to drop so I might need a spring as well!

Thanks Adam, yes CSP, they do two types, one for aluminium base and one for stainless steel base. I got mine from M7. Mine is the aluminium base. I got the garage to do it for me as it’s quite fiddly but you might be able to do it yourself.

How was Bog Bros with the rolling road, take long? did you have to run away when they were giving it some beans? and most importantly did they know what they were doing?

Nice to see Howardian hills - my road biking stomping grounds on a saturday morning (from York)

Dave seems to know what he is doing with older cars, he is the present owner’s father. The process would probably have taken a couple of hours if there hadn’t been a problem with the dizzy. I didn’t get the read out I was expecting, as he didn’t want to use the top of the rev range because it’s a new engine and still being run in. I’ve only done a hundred or so miles yet.

He has tuned and balanced the carbs on the rolling road, and told me when it’s run in to bring it back and he will do a free bhp check for me [emoji108]

It’s a proper old garage there’s no coffee machine or lounge area [emoji38] Some nice old cars there though.

The countryside looked lovely and I passed through some nice villages. I saw this wide verge on a quiet stretch of road and got my photo opportunity!

that's good to know, sounds like they have some empathy with an engine then. Might look them up should I ever fit the twin carbs that are sitting in the garage

You need to check regularly that you've installed the oil filler cap correctly if i remember :lol:

Make sure you tell him you want a readout from the rolling road though !

You need to check regularly that you've installed the oil filler cap correctly if i remember [emoji38]

Just make sure you unplug any usb cables mate and you might make it further than the end of your drive [emoji14]

It’s 100 watts portable one.

Yep i used the same sort of pipe and connected it to the original outlet (the one with the srewcap).
Is your portable solarpanel with a build in charger in the back?

I have also adapted the original outlet to retain the same look and screwcap. Thanks for your ideas on the fridge fitting and sink unit etc!

SKEG Vegas 2019

Drove down on Saturday due to the poor forecast mainly for friday.
Great to meet some of the guys off the forum and see some veedubs. Also met a nice couple with a late bay camped next to us .
Unfortunately we had to leave fairly early on Sunday so it was a bit of a marathon drive over the weekend [emoji23]

Engine coped really well but the wind on the A1 coming home was scary !

Used my eBay fuel pressure gauge to check the output from the Malpassi fpr
It was a bit high at 3.5 so adjusted it down to about 2.1-2.2 psi.
I also changed the hose barbs to a pair of 90 deg fittings so the hoses look tidier and don’t have such a long sweep to the carbs.
Checked for leaks and it’s all good [emoji3][emoji28]
