Working on the bus today while Pippa enjoys some gardening.
So the bottom photo's are pretty obvious that finally getting to spray paint my 14" steel wheels and LPG tank.
Taken nearly 8 months to reach this point :lol: :lol: :lol: .

Now the top photo is of the driver side spring plate ?????? First of all is it an adjustable plate??
Secondly the bolt seems to have been cut off by the previous owner??? The other side has the bolt missing???
Then on checking the bump stops they have been cut down and have only got a single piece of rubber left on either side.???

Any idea as to whats going on , should I replace bolt , remove and put in new and will the bump stops need replacing.
It goes without saying I can't leave it like this, but any info as to direction will be appreciated.
I has caused no damage and has not bottomed out at any stage so far.
I just don't like it and would prefer it fixed or at least put right.

Managed a second coat on the wheels and LPG tank today but was not able to remove rear wheels to photograph.
Will try tomorrow depending on weather. No pictures as they would be the same.

Managed to put all the parts together for the LPG tank install after painting. Slowly getting there. :) :)



Also managed to slip a cable tie through the rear hatch mechanism, can open from inside now. :) :)

Both keeping well , Pippa is unfortunately furloughed but I am employed by a company that makes
industrial heaters , supplying all the Nightingale Hospitals etc....
A new engine is on the cards for next year, wonder if that bloke who
has a Subaru transplant will email me back one day??? :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Yeah we've both been furloughed for 8 weeks now, but we're both well, thanks.

Some good news, I had a work-zoom earlier in the week and it turns out I'm on the skeleton crew starting back on the 20th. I'm looking forward to getting back and on with it. Several projects were left half done :( when the tools were 'downed'.

Whilst I've been off I've decorated right through the ground floor and spent a good while improving our garden.

Anyway, I have indeed finally emailed you about the conversion (I know, I'm the worst).
Whichever way you go, a new engine is a lovely thing!

Now more progress pics please! ... and what did you find with the spring plates?

Yeah, managed to get out for a picnic.Social distancing observed and back home and washed and put away by five.
Great to get out and enjoy some fresh air and see the sea again. Pippa getting used to her camera again although these
are from my phone. Had loads of traffic on the roads which was a given since rule relaxation, still didn't spoil the outing.
Boris behaved perfectly and did not stall on stopping , this rebuilt carb I have (34 pict 3) seems great, however I am of
the opinion that the jets are to big and he's drinking juice , so this coming weekend out come the jets and see sizes.
Then confer with the specialists and see whether my 31 pict 3 jets might be a better bet.

Wow :shock: :shock: , so lucky today with the weather, another quick trip to the coast.
Observing all the social distancing and found a hill top far enough away from all, had lunch and then
a leisurely drive back home. Used my 31 pict 3 carb jets in the 34 pict 3 and the petrol consumption
is back down where it belongs. :) :) Think that possibly the carb is touching the alternator causing the occasional
high revving and then slow drop back down. Will have to check for wear on the casing. Time now to spin the wheels
whilst stationary as I heard a slight ting ting noise at times. Hopefully brakes and not bearing as they tend to grumble. :lol: :lol:

Well thats more than enough to get on with, have a good week all.

Totally sober , otherwise would of accepted it :lol: :lol: .

Out for a social distancing walk and foot went into a drain and total body weight onto right metatarsal.
Cracked bone, recovery time to full health is about 12 weeks if you behave. :shock: :shock:
Yeovil A&E were absolutely amazing, I was there and back and treated in 2 hours.
All credit to the NHS even in these times. So no more outings for a while. Not popular :cry: :cry:

Be careful out there. Stay virus free.

Bud, what can I say. I won’t take the Micky though as it looks a painful one. Shouldn’t stop you dragging yourself around under that bus though should it?
