After cutting off the belly pans I found this

After getting various quotes from welders which proved very expensive  I decided to give it a go myself and I bought a cheap welder from Halfords.

Started by trying to repair the main Chassis rails which had had gone rotten in places.

And putting in new steel where it was rotten.

Then drilled out the sills and replaced them on both sides

Along with all the jacking points and outriggers on both sides. After a bit of work here is how its now looking underneath

Cut away the rotten floor and put in a new top hat section

As you can see the battery trays have also rotted out

So I cut away the rotten bits and the rear corner so that I could fit the new battery tray.

Inside is not too great either, needs new arches and is rotten around the seat area. With it already patched up by the previous owner looks like the whole area needs cutting out.

Both front and rear cross members were rotten and needed changing

Here is a pic of the new front one
