Hi all, simple question. Is there a wheel from a watercooled VW that has the same pcd as a bay, that would give me the opportunity of using a spacesaver for the spare? It's a '72.
Cheers, Ivor.

I think VW Bora Powerdiesels have the same boltpattern. Also all late Audis have it as well as Mercedes'

I'm sure you can find a spacesaver from any of those. ;)

I'm not 100% on the Bora's as they might have 5x100 but the Audis are for sure all 5x112.

You need to be carefull of centre bore size. I can't remember what the bore for a type 2 is, but I got a Merc spacesaver wheel that was fine on bore size. I did have to drill out the bolt holes though, I think from 12mm to 14mm.

Thanks for the tips, had a look on ebay, plenty of 5x112, but lots are 17/18 inch wheels!

Not in a hurry, will keep an eye out for a cheapie........ :D
