Try this.

Shouldn't tyre width be irrelevant? I mean it shouldn't matter whether the tyres are 185/65R15 or 195/65R15.

Tyre width is very relevant because it's an aspect ratio, so 65% of 195mm is greater than 65% of 185mm.

So 195/65R15 all round would mean almost same gearing ratio as well as almost same speedo calibration then?

I might be being a bit thick but I thought the 65 or 70 was sidewall height in mm?? I've never heard of aspect ratio
