is it the ribs fouling? Or the snout fitting into the wheel? you could get the drum snout machined down.

Its the snout fouling the cast on the back of the wheel thats the issue, so Ive got hold of some shorter (Latebay half shafts) and having the snout turned down to suit (24mm approx).
Might need to modify the inner back of the wheel yet but will see how this goes first.

(Cheers Sparkywig)

Also note the RDW's has no centre cap the middle of the wheel is cast.
I will get a pic later.

:D

Thanks to All Earlybay.com guys inc (Sam, K@rlos, Clem & Sparkywig) for helping me get this far & answering all my tech questions. I appreciate it. :D
Oh wow! Now thats what Im talkin about!!
Lookin ace dude!!

Own a Bay?.........Feel the Love!

Vans keeping good company!!

(Phone pics!)

Needs a good wash!

Things left to do:

Front notches
Modify rear drums and fit late shafts.
Fit wheels...........
Set ride height & get all balanced up. (Would be nice to have it at this height but not possible unless I tub it!):msn4:

No doubt there will be more issues along the way!?

Another big like buddy - you could always get the rear narrowed to get the wheels on!
Although only a crazy man would consider doing such a drastic course of action to get some wheels to fit

Seeing MyVanway so low is making me itch for full air ride on Murphy!
Now if I can only find the 5-7k to have it done

If not i'll get shot and have to look at other options.

And now you are talking about notching, tubbing...... oh shit no!!
I'm glad i went trough the midlife crisis with no dammage to my bus

Its all good!

Tubs were a joke... ;)
It will need small notches though... it'll be tidy like. 8)
Once I've sorted my head out (Mid life crisis) I'll have all the OG stuff to put it back together.

Welcome to the my bus now drives like shit club.

It wasn't that great before Chris!
:beerchug:

:msn4: a good lowered bus will drive great and sharp ;)

To be honest I've never driven a 'slammed bus' before.... apart from the 'Bangbus' round the campsite in Ninove!
So It will be a learning process for me.

I have driven decked watercooled VW's so I'm kinda clued up I fink!?
I will make sure it is as balanced as it can be as my whole family is in it most of the time.

Mine drives lovely but having a 6" narrowed beam and a 200hp motor can make things a bit hairy. Especially if I go into a corner a bit hard :scared0016:

Set it up right and grease it regular. Stick to those and you'll never look back ;)
