At least with these panels off I can get in behind and have a good clean - most is pretty solid just surface rust that cleans off with a wire brush. Might spend some more time on it this week and get the engine bay nice and clean and ready for some paint.

Been quitet on here for a little while but still busy on the van, it's amazing how seemingly little jobs can steal hours of your time!

Took all the glass out yesterday jsut to makes sure nothing else was hiding from us - luckily not - even the front screen was pretty much perfect :D

Here's a few moe pictures, been a bit OTT witha ll the anti-rust paint and Dynamat soundproofing - but hopefully it will be worth it!

Had a good clean up inside and painted the floor:

Also, stone-chipped the underside - a shame to see all that nice shiney metal disapear - but at least it will be protected.

Had some good news yesterday - the paint shop that had originally said it would be done for September called to say he was going to start it next week - so hopefully all painted in a couple of weeks :D :D :D :D :D :D

Then the mamouth job of putting him back together

I/we also took the devon poptop roof off - luckiliy nothing scary hiding underneath :D

So maybe he'll be painted by the end of next week :D :D :D

Nothing too exciting this weekend, just a weekend at home painting all the little bits that had been sitting around. All were taken back to bare metal, cleaned and primed before several coats of paint.

Painted the airvents on the dashboard:

Got some of the air-vent block-offs from the states a few months a go, so cleaned those up and painted them Lotus White:

The engine support bar took a lot of work to clean it back and get it nice and smooth - painted Lotus White:

Bumper irons were cleaned up and painted black:
