Gear shifter pin

Hey guys I've replaced the gear rod bushes today but notice there still alot of slop on the gear stick and noticed this pin is badly worn I've seen a few posts on the internet saying the pin should have a spring behind the pin but mine doesnt have one so any one know if I need a new pin and spring or just a pin cheers

Yeah got all them mate it's the pin on the end of the ball that's missing the spring

There's no spring on the pin, it pushes into the bottom of the shifter and slots into the front shift rod.
Item 19 is the early front shift bush and rod.

Ok mate cheers I've seen a few pictures where they have a spring I've ordered a new pin so will see how that goes
