Front speaker cable wiring route

Morning everyone.

I'm fitting a 6x9 speaker into the not quite rectangular space at the bottom of each door.

How do people run the speaker cables through the front inner lip of the doors and through the front door posts into the cab area, so the wires don't get mashed each time the doors are closed?

I feel it's a simple answer, and I'm just overthinking it, so please put my poor brain at rest!

As long as you grommet the holes and add some insulation tape (or similar) to the cables, they'll be fine.

I’ve got some PVC tube that protects the wires in that gap
