Hope everyone had a good Busfest. 8)

Thanks to everyone that joined the line up on Saturday, it was a cool line up of some quality early bays. The location was disappointing and so the amount of people who actually saw it was much reduced on previous years :( I will hope we can renegotiate a more central position again next year and onwards. To 'break camp' is a hassle and to be in an empty field as far away from the show as we were camped in isnt really worth it!

But anyway, thanks again!

We had a blast! What an experience.

Its great putting faces to the names on here. Special thanks to Oz, Nick & family and everyone else , you made our weekend.

It turns out arriving and departing on a recovery truck just wasn't enough as the truck decided to break down at the services! We did eventually get home in the end! Haha

Thank you all for an amazing time! We hope to see you all soon!

You're right Clem, the line up was well out the way. I'm still glad we made the effort and joined the line up though. You've got to fly the EB flag haven't you?

Good weekend on the whole, having not been for ten years i couldn't get over how big it was. The nicest bit, as always, was the club camping just drinking and chatting to like minded folk. Met some lovely people.

Here's a couple of photos of the EB camping.

This was Sunday afternoon so a few had already headed for home

BUSFEST DEBRIEF:

bummed off work friday :D loaded bus up with the usual supplies, flicked on the new fridge..which i can gladly report kept going all weekend off the LB alone! Then fetched the wife from work at noon. Journey down was a pleasure (112 mile) with no problems from the bus rolling at about 60mph most of the way.Once there we found a nice spot in the family camping area to set up base, hooked up with a few friends who had gone along in their 'builders vans' lol and went for a few jars and a scout round. Friday we ended up in quite a state in the main entertainment area, getting back to the van for about midnight full of giggles..after an hour at their buses.
Saturday day we chilled early on (hungover  ) then had a proper scan of the stalls etc. Spent an hour or so watching the t25 syncro guys rag their buses over the obstacle course which was good fun.. I nipped our bus to the Earlybay line up while the boss grabbed a nap :? I'd have to agree with Clem, the line up was poorly situated but did my bit anyway.. That evening we spent at the "sheep shed" stage and enjoyed the live music, drinks and noodles..
Sunday was a relaxed, steady pack up and tootle home, again no bus worries..

Over the fest we met a handful of you guys and that was lovely, although weird when everyone initially introduces themselves by the usernames :D

Would defo do the show again, We found it was friendly, fun and it's always nice to see a massive collection of vw's!

Here's the few pic's I managed from the 'show n shine / line up' field anway....
