Hi all.

We've been to view this today- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vw-bay-window-camper-type-2-px-classic-beetle-vw-t4-vw-t5-/201285659366?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2edd8f6ae6" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I know it won't be to everyone's taste.
I'm 'reasonably' mechanically minded, but am new to the camper scene. If anyone has any information on this it would be much appreciated. Either here on by PM.

Many thanks.

Seen it at a few shows - lovely lovely paint and custom work
Not cheap by any standards but many many hours of custom fabrication has gone into it

Bloody terrible ebay advert though and not easy to see the details in that wall of red text!

Very nice bus from what I saw of it though

Yeah, seen it a few times.

Really nice bus - had some money spent on it.

The price is only justified to the new potential owner, if it's exactly what they want. If air-ride and the looks of it are what you want, and you're happy with the price, then go for it.

Some other nice buses about for similar money though - just be sure it's what you want. Take the air-ride and some of the other bits away, and it is a nice but not so unusual van.

Is it a private build or dealer built? It'd be cool to see the build up pictures. I'd want to see them to ensure its all good.

Not my cuppa tea but if you like it then you couldn't build one for that price.

Thanks all. It was a personal build, however the work was carried out by various specialists. Was indeed a nice bus, but we are still on the search.
Thanks again.

How come you didn't go for this one?

I ask as it's a bus which only appeals to a small section of people, due to price, colour and spec etc. To go and look at it, you must have some interest in it? What put you off?

Hi. We actually really liked it. We did make an offer not too far off the asking price, which wasn't accepted.

Hi. If you can afford it, and happy with it, also it had the exact spec you want, then I'd meet the asking price.

I say this, simply because there's not many out there with this spec, and ones that are, will be same money, if not more.

To do yourself, you could easily blow £30k.

I've seen the van a few times, and when it is used, it is looked after.

Obviously don't bankrupt yourself, but don't regret it either!

Good luck either way.

It's now parked in my garage :D

It's a Crossover. Am I OK to be here still???

Yes as long as you make some changes. ;) Only kidding. Bus looks great. Now put your stamp on it. :D

Thanks all :)

Glad you stuck it out - happy with it?

Hiya. Yep, happy with it. The wife loves it to bits. It gets an amazing amount of attention, almost too much
I was going to ramble on but I suppose I should say 'hello' in the newbie section :)
