The rear valance had a dent in it so Matt drilled a hole in the back and beat the dent out then filled.

cracking workmanship, keep the pics coming :)

this is what i love about restoration theads, the different way ppl approach repairs etc such as front panel replacements and sills etc, sometimes only slightly different techniques but makes you think which the easiest and less hassle etc
 
I agree, the way mine was thought out was to keep as much original metal as possible, the way i see it its been on there for 39 years so if it aint fell off yet it aint gona lol

Well, its been a while but i think the van is making progress finaly. Should be ready for paint this week :D

All straight now, just needs a final wet flat then off to the booth, hopefully i should be abel to make it to a few shows this year :)
 
Oh, forgot to add, Matt managed to save the drivers door with some of the same treatment the passenger door got and a new skin so thats both the original doors good as new now :)
