I’ve seen you can get 185/80/15 or 185/15 tyres. Is anyone running these on the rear of the bus? I was thinking it would potentially help with the gearing and could look good if it was still possible to get the rear relatively low. Mines a late ‘71 so ‘72 model year with what I believe is bigger arches.

Thanks, Phil

I don’t think it will help with the gearing, but it will throw your speedo out.

Bigger tyres act like taller gears

The speedo runs off the left front wheel so won’t affect the speedo at all

I had 195/75 x 15 on the rear of mine until recently.

I had them on BBT Sprints that used a 5mm adaptor, but there was tons of room for them.
