Will my Dynao pump out enough juice to keep a 12v 200w ceramic demister/heater running without causing any problems engine side?

My old bus a late bay with alternator never had a problem with it, just not sure how much less juice i'll be getting with the dynamo on my early bay?

Can anyone running a dynamo recommend one that pumps out a decent amount of heat?

I'm looking at the folllowing

In that last one it gives the following info...

"THEY ARE FOR ONE USE ONLY: THEY PRODUCE A SMALL AMOUNT OF WARMTH FOR THE FEW MINUTES THAT IT TAKES FOR YOUR CARS PROPER HEATING TO WORK. NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS SO PLEASE PLEASE DONT BUY ANY HEATER OF THIS TYPE EXPECTING ANYTHING MORE THAN THIS AS THIS IS THE BEST ONE ON THE MARKET AND EVEN WITH THIS ONE PROLONGED USE OF A CIG LIGHTER AT 150w CAN DAMAGE WIRING....THEY USE 150 WATTS WHICH IS ABOUT AS MUCH AS ALMOST ALL CARS CAN SAFELY RUN THROUGH THE CAR CIGARETTE LIGHTER WITHOUT OVERLOADING THE CARS WIRING, IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET 200 WATT CAR HEATERS ELSEWHERE (AND WE USED TO SELL THEM) BUT AFTER SEVERAL RUINED DASHBOARDS, MELTED CIGARETTE LIGHTER PLUGS, BURNED CABLES AND BLOWN FUSES WE DISCOVERED THAT ANYTHING OVER 150 WATTS IS UNSAFE FOR USE IN AROUND 95% OF CARS ON THE ROAD IN THE UK AND THE CUSTOMER NEEDS TO CHECK EACH CAR BEFORE USE WHICH MEANS OTHER HEATERS ARE NOT UNIVERSAL."

Is this likely to happen in a bus? Will i get melted wiring etc with a 200w unit?

Cheers,

Pete

200W is 1/10th of a standard household fan heater power output.

Have you ever tried using a fan heater to demist/defrost your bus?

I'd not bother wasting your money. If well maintained, the standard heating isn't too bad once you get moving.
