Always good to read other peoples stories. the photos bring back memories...not just of my trip last year, but of my original trip back in 2007. cant believe its as long ago as 2007. makes me think that i should write it up on here or on a blog or something.

love the trip. well done guys

Cheers Nathan - your trip was one of our inspirations.

Well everyone we made it back in one piece 8) - have loads of stories to tell and a little work to carry out on the bus after all the miles we put in. But we got back this eve under our own steam leaving Northern France this morning, heading to Belgium and have just made the trip up from Folkstone to Lincoln.
Over 600 miles covered today alone!

In just under 2 weeks we managed to go from Lincoln - France - Spain - Italy - France - Belgium - Lincoln!

All without a single unrepairable breakdown or parts failure. :D :D

Right more details (and pics :msn4: ) to follow tomorrow - I am off to (my own) bed

Amazing trip Stu, glad it all went well with no major mishaps. Welcome back

We had an awesome time and suffered only very minimal issues with Murphy - exhaust came loose, chattering relay, rear brakes overheated and ended up with a noisy clutch/gearbox (need to investigate further). We will regail you with the stories when we see you at some shows in the future.

If you are going to travel france on of those toll road firkins are an excellent investment - google Sanef tolls.

Wakey wakey here are the numbers

Mileage on start was 46298 and finish was 49430 = 3132 miles

Petrol costs = £750.86

Toll roads cost = £170

Overall had a brilliant time and the bus was amazing over 3000 miles in 2 weeks and took in

England
France
Spain
France
Italy
France
Belgium
France
England

Winner!

Looks & sounds like you both had a trip you'll remember for a lifetime. My partner & I done it 4 years ago in an T25 LLE when Kirsty was in the early stages of pregnancy, not the best recipe for lots of miles through Europe.

But would love to do it again now with our son Finnian next year when the bus is all finished he'll be 4 then....

plan your next trip now... :D

Stu, Clare,

Liz and I just looked through the pics and have mixed emotions. good memories of our similar trip, but a little sad as we wont be able to have more until we get back with betty in storage in cardiff.

looks like you had an amazing time and the little tinkerings enroute make all the more to knowing the ins and outs of your own camper.

Liz did say that she didnt see a camisole in the pics, so I suppose there are in the other album ;)
