The soundproofing looks good - what did you use - and are you happy with the results?

There's a guy local to me who has a x-over fire bus, again in good condition. True time capsules.

quite a few yes, but they all belonged to old men, an always been parked inside

when i bougt it it had 32000km on the speedometer



first layer is like dynamat but cheaper , i primerd it for smells
second layer is foam undercarpet
I like the results, not quite finished yet in the front but already verry ok.
For me it wat abbout not sounding like a tin box an no resonance wit all the audio violence going on inside

Wow, cool bus! It is the first time I have seen a Magirus fire bus - other than my own And you even have the same Magirus logo on the back panel it seems.

That's primer, tinwork maintenance "feiwillige feuerwehr" style:

a scratch or other problem, make a square with tape, sand down, paint preferaby with paintbrush and finished !
effective but not verry nice looking.
I have more of those spots on the bus also in red.

In between all the great projects shown here here is a small one i would like to share:





my sliding door lock

i started with a missing part and a piece of flat steel and after some grinding, filing, drilling, 2,5 mm thread cutting m3, sawing filing and sanding i ended up with a functioning lock :lol:

Great looking bus. I've got a 69 ex German firebus but not in as good a condition as yours and unfortunately no light, siren rack etc. I,ve also had to sort locks by removing barrels and reconfiguring to suit key. Look forward to catching up with you at a show sometime.

I don't really know him but i believe he is from the soudern lowlands, so dutch . . .

That Fire bus is lovely! did they forget they had it in the fleet? its crazy clean!
