Next job is the windscreen repair and rear corner then i will finally have a solid bus back to play with

So finally moved onto suspension now

stock beam with adjusters for now with a 944 front setup :)

Will be fitting this later this week

So with that in mind picked up a set of running around wheels to get me off and mobile

Now cant fit the center caps even with the adapter spacing things out :evil: :roll:

Front beam all now swapped

Pretty much new everything and now with Porsche 922 front disc setup

Will need some spacers but all looks like it will be fine at the front at least

Finally got it out in the sun to turn it round to lower the back - Centre caps can wait

Then off for paint to blend in all the repairs
 
been a while since I updated so heres whats been going on

treated myself to a Christmas present :mrgreen:

bought some new shoes for the bus and fitted the new pop top surround seals, front indicators and front reflectors also

had some fun fitting the wheels as they sit so flat they wouldn't clear the 944 Calipers so had to tickle a bit off them!

Finally got my tank back in!
All painted and sealed thanks to Peter at VW Aircooled Works

And fitted the 100% Bio-fuel 'Fit and Forget' Fuel lines and Filler neck also from Peter

Test fit the cab bunk to see if her ladyship would be happy

Rear lights all fitted, with the reverse lights ready to be converted to indiactors

But now seeing how good the right corners looks after the new section and paint think i may have to look at sorting the left side out also now :roll:
 
Just hit the newly welded rear corner a few times with a mallet to match :lol:

Looks better a bit used :)

wasn't until the bumper came off I realized how bad it was

Got all this built up ready to go on the bus this weekend hopefully

converted all to late bay and redrill and shortened hubs & shafts for porsche
 
So lots of updates to come as been a very busy boy - not all in order but just going through my phone!

Finally got the screen,arial and wipers all in and sorted

Headlight rings off until I sort the pattern out for the MOT

Next job is to sort the sliding door runner as lower runner bearing has seen slightly better days and is partially seized on the runner and the other part seized in the wheel

Had some fun with the spare wheel cover and a spare Jupiler crate
