As we are all I’m sure aware we are back in lockdown (as if we got out of it). Apart from going for a run I’ve not left the house but here is the point. I’ve got some steel wheels and thought I would while away the hours getting rid of old paint etc. I was thinking as I can’t get anything else. Can I use brake fluid to remove the paint? Thought I would paint it on and leave over night then scrape away.

Cheers all. Plus I know it’s early but have a safe Xmas

It will work after a fashion, best left for about 30 years.
You won't be able to paint the wheels again though unless they've been acid dipped to remove any traces of brake fluid, so I'd just get them media blasted in the first place.

Thought so. I will leave them until I can get them shotbasted and coated. I want to ditch the alloys. The lacker is coming off and I would rather go back to stock. Cheers sparky

With January looking like it’s going to cancelled I reckon you’ve got time to hand sand them ?
