Drivers door handle return spring?

Our drivers door handle pull won't return after opening the door. I can find plenty of info about sliding doors but none about this. Is there a return spring that we can buy / make and where does it fit? I could do with some kind of expanded diagram of the whole mechanism but again can only find them for sliding doors. Caboose do you know which part of that controls the door pull return?

I've got a screenshot from that website and am wondering if the part highlighted (14a) is what controls it? Any ideas? Going to play around and dismantle the door pull this weekend to see if I can identify anything behind it.
