Got to replace some tired rubbers on our 69, got some good quality replacements from Machine 7 (nice guys by the way) but whilts I figured they would be a push in replacement (like my old 63 Bug) there appears to be some adhesive involved on the ones currently fitted is this the norm, if so some recommendations would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi mate ypu will need some glue on the front edge of the doors (front) but if you have good rubbers it should push into the rest which have channels.
Hope that makes sense.

You will need some glue, Evostick is the best stuff. I usuallu just use glue around the bottom half of the door.

Start in the top 'square' corner, and work your way round the door gently. DONT cut them, they will be the correct length, do a 'dry' fit first.

You might have to cut the bit that goes around the lower 'door stop' hinge.

If the doors are good they should squeeze in around the flanges.

Good luck!

Carole
