Attaching an Awning with a Full Length Rack on?...

Been wondering about this for a while, and have come up with a few ideas.. That's not to say that they will work though!
So anyone got any suggestions/pictures of how you attach your awning with a Rack on?!
Don't really want to cut the figure of eight's into smaller pieces to fit between the legs on the awning as don't want to rain running into the awning/van! I'm hoping that there is another solution to this!?

Has anyone attached their awning straight onto the Rack instead of the gutter rail?!

Any help on this would be very much appreciated!

There are companies that produce rails that awning rails attach to with full racks.
