Adjustable plates or just turn on the splines?

If you are not going awesome low , like just say drop spindles on the front are adjustable spring plates the go? or just turn on the splines?
The only advantage i see is possibly for changing tires with plates you can wind them down to extract the wheel? Comment please!
 
You can change a wheel easily enough on a one spline drop, its when you go beyond that that its tricky and the springplates are useful. My advice would be to drop it one spline and see how it looks. If you want to go lower then fit springplates, its cost you nothing to try the adjustment first.
 
That's it exactly ^^^ that is exactly what I do. The only other thing is you can fine tune it a little if it ain't exactly how you'd like it with the plates.
