Had loads of stuff done since my last post.
The main problems were the bus was cutting out at junctions, I had to keep the revs pretty high when it came to a stop to keep the engine running.
It was making a real racket, the engine was so noisy you couldn't hear each other talk inside when I was driving!
No heat in the bus from the heat exchangers.
The window channel had rusted and broke which meant the window couldn't stay shut, which meant an even colder trip home from The New Forest!
The door locks at the front weren't working and the sliding door wasn't sliding smoothly.
So...
I took it down to Pete from Air Cooled Technic. He repaired the door locks, re aligned the doors, rewired the horn and set the valves, cleaned the plugs and points, and fixed the passenger window.
There were beetle heat exchangers on which would have worked, but I thought sod it I'll get bus ones, so those were fitted.
The CSP disc brakes went on and the drag link, which helped the driving of it loads. Replaced the CV boots for the M.O.T.
And the wiring to the horn was fixed.
Got a bit of welding done, the acid from the battery had eaten the tray and had gone through to the rear quarter. And it needed a new front and inner valance. Apart from that all solid.
Driving the bus home through the middle of Guildford and it totally cut out, no ignition or anything.  Luckily it was just the battery cables were loose and I was on my way again with a police escort to the next roundabout (very nice policeman).
