Sadly we are letting the Highroof go.
I’ve found something very special & we have decided that we are going to sell the bus to fund the new purchase.
Adventure Wagens started life as normal Bay window buses that were shipped over to the USA where the conversion was carried out by a small company, originally just a Husband & Wife team, that had the mould for the roof & who also the the interior cabinets were fitted.
They are probably the most versatile of the conversions that are made to the T2.
The van was initially built by Wagen West in the USA.
Then it found it’s way to Jim Sowden in the UK who carried out the transformation of the Bus to the point as seen in Volksworld Magazine as a feature Bus.
Jim sold the bus & the new buyers had work carried out by Matt Balls & T2D.
Whilst in our possession the majority of work has been carried out by Milk&2.

1970 Delta Green High Roof Bus
Strong Airkraft 1641 engine built by Matt Keene.
4” Narrowed K&L Beam, Raised 1.5”.
2.5” Dropped spindles.
2” Raised Engine & Gearbox.
Raised steering Box
Rear access hatch under the bed
Horseshoe plates mated to Transporterhaus Adjustable Spring plates.
Tubbed & Notched front & rear with subtle door notches.
Porsche 928 wheels fitted with TUV approved adaptors and matching spare wheel.
Small Tacho fitted to the dash.
Westy style Interior incorporating full width Rock/Rock bed, cupboard, buddy seat & Table.
Kenwood Stereo system.
Split Charge system.
Fire extinguisher fitted in engine bay

period headrests,
Deluxe speedo incorporating a trip reset,
Adventure wagon front table,
Deluxe jail bars,
NOS genuine VW Dash undertrays,
TMI doorcards,

I can’t include the curtains,,, my Mum made them for me
I have loads of history for the bus in the way of receipts, MOT certs, invoices.
