    1/4 Light frame Seal

    Did some years ago, schofields supply a flat piece of rubber, fold around the glass, apply silicon grease,(lots) and squeeze... then use a rubber mallet...cut off the excess rubber after.. surprisingly easy but you will need an assistant

    I've never been a fan of waxoyl, our bay was dinitrolled by myself. It was on the road @7 years before we sold it with no issues

    Late reply, paint stripper as above, I would use epoxymastic 121 from rustbuster, really good to apply and loads of recommendations.... its very hardwearing..literally hammerproof

    We painted ours, outside with 2k paint, standard primer then colour, we sold it 2 years ago and it still looked good, no cracking or anything untoward, make sure you specify non iso paint tho

    Pitman arm puller

    I used a sykes pickavant ball joint splitter(really heavy duty)had to modify the arms a little to fit around the joint. Ended up with a 2 foot bar on it, it went with a bang eventually..

    Chances are the rear tyres will rub on the inner arch, we failed an mot at standard height due to rubbing(the wheels are actually designed for beetles not bays!) Front was OK, but I guess your using pcd adapters which will move the wheel out, as soon as you lower it I suspect your going to have...

    New seats ???

    I had the same problem(literally to the inch!!) Best fitting seats were porsche tombstone(924/44/11) with no height adjust, very comfy and i ended up with just over 2 inches of headroom(westy ply headliner) Also very easy to fit as runners are flat

    heat exchanger to body tubes

    It will be noisy without the silencer part of the tube.. we used the plastic ones with no issue, it's a baywindow youll be lucky to get much heat out of it!!
