SOLD - LHD Early Bay Steering Box

I've just gone down the route of converting my '71 bus to a later steering box, so the original early box is for sale. Collection from Leeds preferred, but will more than happily post for £10 (Hermes signed for). Whilst it was quite driveable before it was removed, there is some play and it...

    Herbie Hospital Leeds

Johnny and Rich have done all the work on my bug and bus for the last couple of years. Great blokes who do solid work at sensible prices, I would definitely recommend them. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

    M.O.T garage needed West Yorkshire

Hi Chris The guy I take my bus to uses Auto Care Centre in Morley - 0113 238 3500. Mine's only been lowered by about 3 - 4 inches, but they seem ok with that (although it did fail its test today [DISAPPOINTED FACE]). Cheers, Jonny

    Tuning in wakefield area!

Might be worth giving John at Beetle People in Morley a bell - 0113 252 3255. Great bloke and knows his beans - plus his labour charges are reasonable in comparison to some people I've used at only £30 p/hr.

    classic car rescue

Awful, awful show. Not sure why I still find myself watching it! No idea how they managed to spend £13k in parts - but seeing as our friend Bernie reckoned the 74 came with an 1100 engine in it (which, if I'm not mistaken wasn't produced post '53), I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. And...

Can someone come take a look at my van?

You could also try John at Beetle People - 0113 252 3255. His garage is in Morley but he lives in Chapel Allerton. Super sound bloke and very reasonable in terms of labour. Not surprised Leon's retired after the amount of money I used to spend there keeping my first beetle on the road!! Jonny

Google hangouts would also work for any non iPhone users. I believe you can also create YouTube videos from it too, which might be helpful! You will need a Google+ account tho.

3 Alternator straps in 2 weeks!!

You guys are scaring the crap out of me now!! Reason he scrubbed the 4 hours was because I put a fair bit of work his way with both the bus and the bug. And his work has always been really good. He even stored the bus for me for free for 4 months after I bought it until I could get it low...

3 Alternator straps in 2 weeks!!

I'm as confused as you guys! He's replaced the flywheel, and there is a huge difference in how it's running. Problem is that I haven't been able to drive it that much in the few months I've had it to so haven't got much for a basis of comparison.

3 Alternator straps in 2 weeks!!

The case taking a battering does concern me - but I'm (unfortunately!) no mechanic so I guess I have to trust in his knowledge. And of course keep tapping into the huge amount of knowledge on here!! I'll be trying to keep an eye on things as much as I can over the next few weeks, and see how we go.
