Just been filling the form in to register my 72. As it's now m.o.t exempt I guess I don't have to do this before registering...but I then read that I need to insure it before registering?
Is this correct, if so-anyone know a friendly insurer that does policies temporarily on the vin number?
At the minute, the wiper motor ('72') and near side door mirror. Pair of kick panels too. I've just bit the bullet n ordered new for the rest I need (I think...every time I get to bottom of list it gets longer!)
After a couple of good used original parts for my bay. Wiper motor, door mirror, few odds n sods..
I'd previously used volksheaven (Doncaster?) but the website and phone number are down
Seems odd as he'd been around for years
Any pointers to someone that doesn't want ridiculous money for parts?

It's been a long time since posting, and after living away from home for the last 6 months, almost selling, and a(not bus related and still amicable) divorce the van is eventually away to get rewired and engine fitted. 1776cc with scat cam and twin 34's. Should push her along reasonably...
Pains me to do this but as I'm no longer living where my garage (and therefore van) is means this is going to be impossible for me to finish
72 crossover deluxe, Kansas beige og paint. Few knocks here and there but overall pretty straight. Few small patches of welding done, drivers floor...
Been a while since a progress post. As I'm waiting for my 1776 motor to be built I thought I'd tidy the engine bay. What bugged me was that the engine tray corner had been mangled, so got a panel from schofields.
Took a bit getting and pie cutting to fit, and it's a long time since I've...
Id thought of that but not got round to Giving it a go, been busy with cleaning and stonechipping my chassis (really really fun job haha)
