    Jack

Ok call me numb, but am I correct in thinking if I buy this jack and buy a separate wheel brace for the handle it will also fit my wheel nuts? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7X0011031-Scissor-Jack-for-VW-T2-Bay-1967-1979-/281819258860?hash=item419dbc9fec:g:itQAAOSwFnFWEzYZ"...

    Oil Leak causing slipping clutch?

I know. It was on the Earlybay facebook page. Bloomin obvious really, but I was desperate to try and slow it down/stop it rather than pay someone to whip the engine out.

    Oil Leak causing slipping clutch?

Funny you should mention that... The bus was leaking when I bought it a few weeks back. The dipstick was halfway between minimum and maximum before the journey. I topped it up with a bottle of some 'Stop leak' nonsense that someone suggested on here just before I set off. It was over the maximum...

    Oil Leak causing slipping clutch?

Thanks for the reply. No, definitely not riding the clutch. Honest :D . End float seems absolutely fine (to a newbie). I've a feeling it is the crank seal. There's so much oil splattered around it is difficult to see exactly where it's leaking. I'll check the pedal. Cheers

    Oil Leak causing slipping clutch?

Hi Yesterday we took our first big ride out in our bay. A 100 mile trip to The Lakes. I was fully aware we had a slight oil leak prior to setting off, but it's booked in for a service/mot in a few weeks so was hoping it could be looked at then. After around 70 miles we started to climb a steep...

    CO/LPG alarm. Anyone use one?

Hi We are spending our first night away in our camper this weekend. It was minus 2.5 last night in Saddleworth, so there's a chance the Propex heater will be on. Can anyone recommend a suitable 12 volt alarm? I believe it is a CO/LPG alarm that we need. Quick look on Ebay and they're around the...

Suitable drive away awning for a lowered Bay?

Hi. Having heard great reports about the Vango drive away awning we decided to go and purchase one. The sales guy suggested we should try it against our van before we buy it as there had been issues with lowered vans. Sure enough it wasn't quite right. The mk 2 version has doors towards the...

Can you recommend a garage in the North West?

Hi I'm new to the bus scene and need a few jobs doing, including an MOT. I would much rather do the work myself, and learn along the way but have no spare time at present unfortunately. I'm looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable garage who specialise in our vehicles, in the North West. The...

anyone using lite steer on their bus?

I purchased mine with the Lite Steer kit already fitted. I have 17" wheels/tyres too. can't comment on before and after feel unfortunately as last time I drove a Bay was almost thirty years ago, for around 2 miles. All seems good though. Mine came with a steering wheel knob thing fitted, like...

Any info on this vehicle please?

Thanks all :) Hiya. Yep, happy with it. The wife loves it to bits. It gets an amazing amount of attention, almost too much  I was going to ramble on but I suppose I should say 'hello' in the newbie section :)

Any info on this vehicle please?

Hi. We actually really liked it. We did make an offer not too far off the asking price, which wasn't accepted.
