    37 days to go....

It’s been a while since I last updated this thread. Bit of an understatement ! 😜😂 I started reading this thread thinking it was now, I hadn’t joined EB forum when you started it haha. Good luck with the work to do but what are you having done?

Group buy- Delrin bush for shift rod

When I receive the refund I will share out between everyone in the group buy. The email I have says up to ten days. I agree it is good customer service from Jason as clearly there is a variance in fitting which had not been expected.

Group buy- Delrin bush for shift rod

It seems odd that Jason hasn’t had any feedback about the bushes not fitting. It will be interesting to hear what the manufacturers say in reply to your email. There is only a mm or two difference between the OG shift rod and the Wolfsburg west one, and I wonder if there are other shift rods...

Steve, can I just check one of these measurements with you? The first one of the shift rod section with the yellow marking. W1K1 measured it as 0.410 inch. That equates to 10.4mm. That would also agree with my own estimate of around 10mm.

Group buy- Delrin bush for shift rod

Today I fitted my Delrin bush. About five years ago I did some renovation on my bus and in an attempt to improve the sloppy gear shifting I replaced a few things. The gear stick or shifter was replaced, the coupling link, and a new front shift rod made by Wolfsburg West from VW Heritage. The old...

Group buy- Delrin bush for shift rod

Sorry to read this 😫 I think we have two ‘don’t fit’ at the moment. I’m away from home right now. I’ll try to fit mine at the weekend. If another two people can try theirs and report back on this thread. If they don’t fit either obviously there’s a problem with the bushes. I’ll then contact the...

Well done for keeping up with the maintenance on one of these campers for so long. I’m 63 and finding it gets harder each year !

All original restoration or resto-mod ?

I think it’s cheap, powerful or reliable. You can only have two of these for an engine. 😀

All original restoration or resto-mod ?

All good modifications 😀 The money is the main factor as they all cost a lot !

    Charcoal canister

Mines a ‘70 but doesn’t have one. Maybe it was a California thing. I didn’t realise earlybays had them at all. I think I would do what Slowmo did and just vent to outside which is where my tanks breather goes to.

    Charcoal canister

I didn’t know earlybays had a charcoal canister. What year is your bus, and from which country? If it has another breather pipe you could just block that one off.

    Bay in The Guardian

There’s a retired woman in our town who I often see walking around litter picking, even on the bypass. It’s good that people do that.
