Hello

I'm trying to ID a few Dizzys I have lying around.

I have;

1) JFUD4- 0 231 180 001- 211 905 205 S

2) JFU4- 0 231 146 101- 113 905 205 AL

3) JFUR4- 0 231 167 049- 113 905 205 AJ

The thing is- when aligned for TDC on No1, all of them point to the No. position! (2 o.clock rather than 5 o'Clock)

Can anyone tell me anything about these- all Vac Advance.

Cheers

Stu

Hi Stu

N.1 is for a 71-72 Non Usa Bus, manual trans.
N.2 is the exact same as N.1 and they can replace each other.
N.3 is for a 71 only and it's the version previous to Ns 1 and 2.

They all have basically the same curve, for a 1600 Bus with manual transmission.

For these to work properly, they need to be matched to the correct carb as the vaccum signal differs substantially depending on what carb you use.

A-ha! Great. I've got a 1641 with twin DRLA 40s- was just going to use a 009- but then found all these.

Hi,

When I swapped my 009 dizzy with points ignition for an electric ignition SVDA dizzy, with the engine at TDC the new rotor pointed to the 2 o'clock. I rotated the spark plugs round on the dizzy cap and it works fine.
