I'd second Point Break as a guilty pleasure :D

Other faves as above - Trainspotting, Lock Stock/Snatch, Dumb & Dumber ...

I'll add Pulp Fiction, Wayne's World (&2) and, for an old school random - Porridge The Movie :D

Love the old 70's classic, Smokey and the bandit, convoy, cannonball ruin etc...

But my fave film of recent years is 'into the wild'
Incredible film and well worth a watch, true story too, road movie based on real life accounts of people who met the protagonist along the way. Very moving but very cool.

I'm all about premium 1960''s Hirchcock.

Rear Window is my favorite.

But also:

Vertigo
Dial M for Murder
Strangers on a Train
North by Northwest
The man who knew too much.

I do not like Psycho or The Birds.

Another curve ball is a John Mills film called Vicious Circle.

I just love the old stuff when they had to create tension without graphic depictions and technology - brilliant.

I remember the first Film i saw in the cinema....

Based on the book by Nicholas Monseratt. He wrote it after his experiences as an officer on a flower Class corvette called HMS Campanula. He changed the name to HMS Compass Rose for the book because it was released too soon after the war and still fell under the official secrets act. One of Steven Speilbergs top 3 war films of all time.

The reason I know this, is because my Dad served as Stoker in the engine room on HMS Campanula for most of the war. There are events in that film that my Dad told me happened for real.

No way I’ve got an all-time favourite as there’s way too many to pick from but Donnie Darko is right up there.

I’ll throw these in too (in no particular order):

Close Encounters of the Third Kind
My Neighbour Totoro
Jaws
Aliens
Goonies
Ghostbusters (first film I saw in the cinema on my own)
Scarface
Shawshank Redemption
The Green Mile
Point Break
Peter Pan
Tim Burton’s Batman
A Nightmare Before Christmas

... many more

All of the above ( the ones I’ve heard of anyway)

E.T is right up there for me, watched it with my daughter recently and I’ve never seen her sob that much over a film, she was inconsolable ! Shows how moving it is..
Also The croods is a big favourite “release the baby ! “

Alien 1
Alien 3 (wath the directors cut which is much better then theatrical version!)
Zodiac (you see a pattern here, Fincher Movies are pretty good)
Boogie Nights
Good Morning Vietnam!
Oceans 11, 12, 13
Men from U.N.C.L.E.
Bond movies (not impressed by Spectre)
Just about all Tarantino´s movies
Mad Max 1

A bit of love for Point Break and rightly so, personally my favourite film. There’s another movie which I guess laid the tracks for Point Break and Fast and Furious, it’s late 80’s and called No Mans Land. Think Point Break but instead of surfing they steal 80’s Porsche 911’s. Look it up, its proper late 80’s with Charlie Sheen as lead and DB Sweeney as 2nd fiddle. Good movie with lots of nice motors.

I have a few... :msn4

All the Tarantino stuff, planet terror, 2 lane black top, vanishing point, Duel, Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, Bullit, The Great Escape, Star Wars, saving private Ryan, Gladiator and many more lol
