1972 us import(california) westy, tax exempt and mot exempt(if required).
It has been fully restored both mechanically and paint / interior..
All mechanical parts have been refurbished or replaced with new during the restoration(other than gearbox which was checked and required no work)
Wiring was redone using all new components
Interior and exterior were both repainted in 2k
Underside and suspension were media blasted to bare metal and painted with por15 then dinitrolled.
Interior was totally renewed) and retrimmed. Porsche tombstone seats have been fitted and trimmed to match, an mcj steering wheel was fitted, Internal wood panels have been renewed or relacquered (roof)
Engine is a 1776 giving @80hp fitted with all new components(carbs, dizzy, alternator, starter etc). A new starter battery and leisure battery were fitted @ 2 year ago. The engine bay has an aircooled works automatic extinguisher fitted as well as an automatic fuel shut off pipe. All fuel line is aircooled works ethanol resistant.
The engine is fitted with an external oil cooler(with electric fan)and filter as well as a dipstick style temperature guage
Interior... full vanwurks interior with 2 burner hob, 3 way fridge and sink. Lighting is all led. There is a 10.1 inch drop down DVD/TV screen fitted.
There is a concealed radio CD in the glovebox connected to 4 speakers.
There is a rev counter fitted into the instrument pinnacle as well as temp/ clock gauges fitted to the dashboard.
Scat t handle shifter and buttys throttle linkage fitted.
Pop top hinges were replaced 2 year ago, canvas was replaced as part of the restoration.
Externally all seals were replaced.
The van will be out of storage tomorrow so will upload more photos
