We're planning a long jaunt down to the south coast at the end of August. We're leaving from Wigan and only want to cover about 100 miles per day so need at least one stopover on the way down, maybe Stratford upon Avon and possibly Cotswolds. Any recommendations for sites or places we should visit? We've got about 2 weeks and have the bonus of being just the two of us and child free!

Hi,
There aren't many campsites in the Cotswolds but a good one to stop at is https://www.cotswoldfarmpark.co.uk/camping/.

We do the trip the other way going up to the Peak District.
Cheers,
Rob.

This is a nice site nr Stratford

you can get a boat taxi into Stratford, good on site amenities

We stayed in Ayr holiday park in St Ives, very nice but a little expensive, but the wife loved it and it's a short walk down a very steep hill to town. It has a small pool, good views and you even get wifi in the van. It's not to far to Lands End for a day trip.
