Cheers Jeremy. weather and money permitting i hope to get it sorted by end of next month. The interior can wait!

Supervising (standing around smoking) takes years of practice ;)

Looking forward to working on it soon Darius :)

Looks a nice solid bus, what are your plans?

Those seats look like they were made out of mattresses

I'd like to thank egotrippin aka Steve for his excellent supervisory skills, he has always been good at it.
Also Analog aka Barry who stayed to help me get the beam off when everyone else left cause it was getting dark and cold.
Cheers Boys see you at the weekend for the next instalment

barrett even, but thanks.

did that beam hit you on the head when i left?

still think you should hang the thong around the mirror, it could be called the thong bus, then we can park it beside the muff bus
;)

anyway savannah deluxes are the new white westy's

"slam it" as they.
I have built my own K&L drop spindles
I'm building a narrowed beam from scratch with needle bearings
Air shox
drop the back with some horse shoe plates and 1 notch down, if possible i don't like the extreme notching. The buses look good but they family are going in this bus so its got to be usable.

The paint has issues which i will sort later, got to get driving it 1st.

Well done Darius, looks like a good bus.

I only bolted the side plates up and put the top tube in. My welder and my welding isn't up to welding the beam completly so i left it here for now.

After doing that egotrippin steve came round to help and i mean help this time we stripped the rear suspension ready to lower, but as none of us had used horseshoe plates before we didn't know what we were doing. So never got it finshed last weekend.

So this afternoon i spent a couple of hours trying again, let me warn anyone that is going to fit them-with 2 people it may be easier but on your own its a cunt of a job!! 1 bloody bolt on each side will wind you up so much, the rest is easy.

Just need to drill the hole for hand brake cable, even though widefive in the states reckons you can get away with running the cable underneath the spring plates. Anyone know if this is true?

looking good matey :D look forward to seeing the beam complete."another white westy" did they make them in another colour? ;)

Glad you got the horseshoe plates sorted and Steve helped this time   , drilling a hole in the springplates is not that easy unless you've got good air tools etc, we had great fun when we did the panel van!!. I have seen the handbrake cable left underneath as widefive have suggested so if it fits I'd be inclined to run it underneath.

I haven't got horse shoe plates, just adjustable spring plates and i run my cables underneath. It is wise to keep a check on them to ensure they don't wear or pull but mine have been on for 4 years now without an issue. When I have to remove the drum to change shoes or cylinders I will move mine through the plate.....just a bit of laziness on my behalf.

Cool :D ;) looking good there nice long shock towers on the plates.
What are you going to do with the inner bushing?

Kind regards mycha

I bought a length of delrin which is being machined into 4 bushes with grease grooves like og ones. The tubes i used are 60.33 CDS the ID is slightly larger than stock so custom bushes are needed.
