Hi everyone I’ve been looking for a camper project for a long time but never seriously, anyway one came up On eBay Within 10 miles of where I live in Norfolk so I bid and won it.
It needs a lot of parts and welding most of the van really, it’s literally what you see is what I got.
I won’t be making a serious start on it for a few weeks, just git some wither stuff to sort out before I get it the garage.

That looks to be in similar condition to mine. If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? Have you set any sort of timescale to get it done? Hope you like welding 😄

Looking forward to the updates Mick ... thanks for sharing [emoji106]

Thanks for the replies guys i am looking forward to making a proper start on it soon God knows how long it will take but I will try and stay motivated hopefully lol
I am looking for a pair of doors for it, not really bothered what condition they are in as I'm sure they will need repairs anyway
Am I right in thinking there is hinge conversion to fit later May doors if I struggle?

Hi everyone I git a shot blast cabinet from SGS and have been busily cleaning up various parts I’ve been stripping off like pedals, handbrake system, after spending hours getting the pin out.
Took the fresh air flaps out But not blasted them yet what I have blasted has come out very well it would have taken days with a drill and wire brush and never achieved what the blaster did.
Managed to get in the single garage today surprised how well it fitted with room to work

Hi sorry about the above post typos lol

Managed a few hours last night stripping the O/S rear corner down took off the lower repair panel apparently fitted by a VW specialist restorer that was just tacked in and found what I expected .. more rust and filler
I’ve got a rear wheel arch and battery tray coming from JK so I can see what lines up where and wether I can salvage the Quarter repair Panel
Then I can mock things up to see where they fit before I start to cut out the rear section around the engine lid

Hi everyone I’ve not had much time lately with finishing stuff off and cars breaking down And running out of welding gas but managed to get clear Now so should be able to concentrate On the van now
I’ve been repairing the inner wheel arch And the arch lip and the C post bottom So I have somewhere to line the wheel arch panel up to Here’s some progress pics
