1968 Campervan conversion

Literally! :lol:

While I was in Viseu, I decided it was time to do some other tasks. First, I had to clean some parts from a powder coat that had been damage by a torch and I also had to change the colour of some small parts that had been painted with the wrong paint.
So I went to Hugo's bodyshop and with his sandblaster, we cleaned the powder coating from my front bumper brackets and some other parts that I had painted earlier butwith poor results:




(one of these brake backing plate is already in place - these pictures were taken a few days before some other ones already on some previous posts)



... and after, Hugo applied a 2K primer:

... and I went to do this because I had already made some arrangements with André (the painter) for us to finally finish the fiberglass pop top. So, after a few months of taking these pictures....





... I took them to where André is currently working and we spent a few more hours sanding them ...

After some hours, they were really smooth and ready for being painted.



Next day, it was time to finally push them inside the paint booth and paint them:



The result was awsome:

When all the parts dried out and with the help of Hugo's trailer, we took them to my garage:

With the steel cleats in place, after I had zinc plated and protect them with the 2k varnish, I decided it was better to place this part in place:







... and already in place. However, I suppose I will change something here later on.
