Hi all, I'd like to introduce Tex from Texas, my 69 Westy Tin Top, got a few plans for him as he needs lots of love to get him up to scratch.

Cheers guys, gonna keep it as it is, lovin the patina ! Might paint the bumpers ? Needs the odd bit of welding first, sliding door and rear arch. Then a good tidy up inside, all the interior Westy panels need replacing as they're close to falling apart. Just deciding on wheels as well, never liked steels.

Looks like a good base to work from and the interior looks usable:)

Been hard at work cleaning all that patina up and well pleased with how he's looking

Tex is havin some surgery at last, engine out for carb upgrade, tank out for a clean, new R9 fuel lines, hole in rear tub welded up 😀

Finished after a massive amount of work. Fitted twin 34ICT’s, removed filter stand and fitted a fuel pressure regulator and it runs a treat now. Tank removed and cleaned out. Rear tub welded up. All fuel lines replaced with R9 fuel hose.

Also fitted a Smiths tacho, Emden radio and head unit in the glove box. Phone charger sockets fitted aswell

Christmas has come early for Tex, he’s getting a French Slammer Beam at Midland Early Bay 😎
