A few little bits done recently. All copied from others [emoji38]
I have put a 5 litre water container behind the passenger seat and added a submersible pump and a few wires. Thanks Dirty Harry for the idea.

Next thing was a 12 volt socket in the buddy seat. Thanks to Adam aka 67westy for that one. I kept the original Bakelite back box as protection and to keep it looking tidy.

Finally something I saw on another site but it may have been discussed on here as well; a rear handle for for the sliding door. Helps when closing it as you don’t have to push it hard forward to get it to slam shut when you have the Westy sink unit particularly. Thanks to Buttys Bits for the parts. [emoji106]

Those improvements look good and like you say just make it that bit better to live with :)

Thanks guys,

DH I have used a plastic bell push on the walk through side. It is just stuck on for now with double sided foam tape. I want to see how the tap performs, ie without any leaks !

The door handle mod works well you can shut the slider with one hand. The pumped water is vitually silent with whale pump.
Had a weekend in the Lakes.

Chucked it down last night, but my newly re-proofed poptop canvas (Fabsil Gold) was able to withstand the soaking. [emoji38]

Sweet pictures and glad you are enjoying the camping aspect - soo jealous!!

Had a great time at Dubs in’t Dales in North Yorkshire. It was lovely and sunny this weekend which helps and this was the first time we had been to this VW show. It was a friendly show, quite informal, and the toilets were kept clean ![emoji28]
Our campsite neighbours were a couple with a red ‘70 Westy like ours, and a younger couple with a yellow ‘72 Westy.
Some pics from the show.

Great pics - thanks for sharing :)
Not keen on the colour combo of the yellow and black Beetle but liked the wheels and the stance.

‘‘Twas a Canny weekend!!!!
Your lass was asking me where my daughter was, she didn’t believe me when I said I didn’t have a daughter!!!
