great photos of your trip, you must put the locations on it, or perhaps event better a little map!

Taking proper care of the vehicle panels with a back to basics rust treatment and paint job is well worth the expense. If its a keeper - you won't regret it

Good point about locations, I'll get them on.
Plenty of wax on order for the future! Keep the water at bay!
 
Then to tackle the non-original, rusty-as-hell, looks-like-crap side.

As you can see in the following pictures, the rust has been etched into the panel. I'm not sure what happened with the respray but I don't think it could have gone any worse.

Progress on the windscreen surround. Initially thought I'd need a knew bulge panel but the guys at Midland Paintwerks were able to make their own panel.

Heated windscreen now installed. Final touches left including bumper paint, reassembly and then she's back with me for the interior.
