I might be interested in this too, but I might wait until I get old ;) so I’ll be following this one. I’ve lightened mine up a bit or should I say , I’ve livened mine up by puffing way too much air in them front tyres a little more and a couple of pounds every year. As I’ve got a few more pounds on me every year, so I put a few more pounds in the tyres,   but I don’t think 95 psi is gonna do them tyres much good :x  :x

Ozziedog,,,,, wait a minute,,, I Am Old :| reckon I need this too.

Hi Adamski
We have one to fit to our earlybay
Any chance of some pictures, especially how the motor fits to the steering column, and also is there some sort of bracket that fits from the motor to the bulkhead to stop the motor from twisting when you turn the steering wheel
any help would be appreciated
Thanks Vinvan

A lite steer. Can do photos if you nag me enough. Their website has a lot of photos and info

I fitted power steering last year, love it. Well worth doing. Mine was a DIY fit using a kit from ebay.

Any info on doing this and what kit, the girlfriend is scared to death of driving it as she can't get the wheel round without a ten minute warm up.

This is the kit I bought:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Type-2-Bay-Window-Power-steering-conversion-kit-Camper-late-early-Bus-T2-RHD/254230043908?hash=item3b314a9d04:g:4foAAMXQ74JTRplv&frcectupt=true

Easy enough to do if you have welding skills and a decent welder. I did modify it slightly by fitting a lower support tube, somewhat like the litesteer kit.

It's a manually adjusted system via a knob on the dash board, but making it auto adjust like the litesteer one isn't that difficult, plenty of info around on the internet. That will be next winters project for me.

It says you will lose the horn on the steering wheel, which is true, but I got around that by using a remote control keyfob type thing like this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-1CH-Channel-Wireless-Remote-Control-Relay-Switch-RF-Transmitter-Receiver-10A/254208275412?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D57477%26meid%3D51b4e1801d184addad8442b06acfedf9%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D254040733005%26itm%3D254208275412&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

with the transmitter in the steering wheel. Works a treat!

Here's mine:

Ok stopping the nagging already. I had it fitted by the legends at Autotecniks in Epsom.

No worries. Anymore pics let me know.

The horn push works fine, well my horn sounds like a strangled cat as it’s been knocked so often due to my low suspension.
