Saggy / bellowing vinyl roof liner

OK, so we’ve established that my headlining is not factory spec. Most of my bus is not factory spec, so no drama, there. Any ideas on how to fix it, anyone, please?

Saggy / bellowing vinyl roof liner

I do mean roof headliner, but in our bus it has been stuck, not hung. Annoyingly, it is now coming unstuck in places! :( Come to think of it, I am not sure whether the system you linked to would work on a roof with a whopping great hole cut in it for a Westfalia pop-top.....

Saggy / bellowing vinyl roof liner

Hi all, Trust you are happy, healthy and safe during these odd times. Does anyone have any tips, tricks or fixes for faux leather/ vinyl roof liner that has begun to bellow? The material has come unstuck in places, and has developed pockets of air behind it causing it to bubble / bellow out. i...

    Screw size, please.....

Hola! Hope you are all safe and well. One of the screws on my front door internal pull~handles has been replaced with an ugly countersunk type wood screw, and it looks shit. Does anyone know where I can source one of the correct, domed Phillips screws, please? Failing that, does anyone know...

    Busfest camping

Sorry to hijack the thread (if this question qualifies as a hijack), but does Bustest always sell out, or can you normally turn up on spec and get a space camping? This year’s dates work well for us IF we chose to head south for our two week road trip, but that will be weather dependant and we...

    Some light advice, please

Hi all, Our May (1971 Westy Crossover) will be going in for her annual service and MOT later this month, and I always have a few improvement jobs done to her whilst she is with Richard at VW Restorations of Halifax (brilliant business, brilliant service, brilliant bloke). I am thinking of...

    Camper Dog

We are now the proud parents of a 12 week old Miniature Schnauzer called Ralph. He is a lovely little pup and travels well. He has already been out for a few spins in May, our ‘71 Crossover, and is super chilled with the noise and bumps and rolls. Ralph loves his crate at home, and we would...

    Scat shifter, any good ?

We have one on our ‘71 Crossover and it is brilliant. Short, sharp and very well defined shifting that far surpasses the custard stirring standard stick, IMHO. I imagine the T-Bar handle style might not be to everyone’s taste. The only thing I find is I need to lean forward a little to shift...

How much oil needed from Minimum to Maximum?

Hi fellow EBers, Does anyone know roughly how much oil is required from the minimum mark to the middle of the dipstick, or the maximum mark? Thanks in advance, Clean.

    Losing spark when hot

Bosch Blue Coil ordered from VW heritage following the advice from the “ratwell” link shared by Tofufi. Cheers, all; I will let you know how we get on.

    Losing spark when hot

Bingo! That will do for me as a vote for the thought. Now to try and work out which coil I need! I will buy Bosch, and might even get a full kit (coil, HT Lewds and Dizzy) from JustKampers. I have a pretty standard single port 1600; any tips on how to pick the right Coil? Thanks, Clean.

    Losing spark when hot

Thanks for the reply, but we have a standard distributor with rotor arm etc.. I am increasingly convinced it is the coil breaking down when the engine compartment is hot.

    Losing spark when hot

Hi peeps, Our 1971 Crossover starts first time, every time, and run's as sweet as you like. Particularly after a great overhaul by VW Restorations of Halifax. However...... she was recently borrowed by some friends, and on a couple of occasions they had difficulty restarting her when warm...
