    deafening engine 'drone' at certain revs

    Sorry to dredge up an old post but did you find the cause of this? Very similar to how our bus is at the moment, seems to get loud at around 55 but can be driven through it just the same Thanks

    under cylinder tinware missing.....

    The tabs push up in between the cylinders, above the pushrod tubes. Id imagine after 16 years they may just be spares as i believe they get quite hot without them. If you look up from underneath the engine you will either see these above the pushrod tubes or just the cylinders. Ballache to fit...

    Scat bottom pulley, wierd washer.....

    Iv just bought a scat bottom pulley with degree ring on it. In the packet there was a wierd washer type thing with no mention of it in the instructions. Am i right in thinking its a spacer to push the pulley away from the case (towards rear of the van) ? Thus aligning the fanbelt? Cheers

    No rear hazard lights......

    As above the rear hazards on our 68 U.S import have stopped working, fronts work fine at normal speed and every other rear light works as it should. Is the switch to blame? Or something else? Thanks......

    Ignition barrel dead??

    After removing the switch from the back of the bsrrel im a bit confused. Started it with a screwdriver in the switch which seems fairly free and the key will turn freely enough aswell. im a bit stuck as to where the problem lies, gona have a proper look tomorrow and see what i find.....

    That link is helpful for removal of the barrel but how do I get the barrel to turn freely again? Like I said it's as if iv inserted the wrong key.....
