Just fitted a new starter to my bay, on start up I get this horrible scrapping noise from the tinware/bell housing area. It goes on low tick over but comes back when I rev it. I've fitted the old one back and makes the same noise?? What have I done?

I've got a cut and turned beam and kyb gas adjust front shocks. She sits pretty low but the shocks are really hard. Which shocks would be more comfortable? If i put a softer shock on would it sag? Haven't got much room to play with!

Just fitted engine back in and can't move the gear stick. What have I done?????? It's jammed in gear, I've disconnected shift rod and it does move but quite stiff
