    >> Are LHD and RHD front bash pans identical?

This picture is of a LHD pan, see the cutout to the left of centre at the bottom of the picture, just remove the same amount from the right hand side and you're done!

    >> Are LHD and RHD front bash pans identical?

No, they're not the same, there is a cutout section for the pitman arm, I fitted a LHD one to my RHD 69, easy - just had to cut out a bit of material to allow for the RHD pitman arm.

    69 bay pedal pan type?

Easy way to determine which type you need is to look under your bus at the holes it screws into, imagine you are looking for the rearmost holes, if you look just just in front of the beam, there will either be a single hole, or 2 holes about 2" apart, the earlier 67-69 splashpan has a single...

Westfalia - Tintop or Pop? California or South Africa

I've got RHD (Australian) with pop top, which is perfect for us with 2 young kids, though I do prefer tin tops (one of each would sort that out). I used to have a LHD when I lived in the UK, the only issue I found with LHD was the sliding door being on the offside.

    seat belt bolts

I just bought and fitted new bolts for the rear seat belts, as mentioned, they are 7/16 UNF, I used 1" for the belt mounts and 1 1/4" for mounting child seat anchor points. Just make sure you get high tensile (grade 8 is better than grade 5).

    Dropped spindle nyloc nut thread

I too left the hose bracket off, even without, the nylon only just bites onto the thread, I read on the Transporterhaus site that they are supposed to come with a thinner gold washer for the bottom ball joint, though all my washers were the same size. I used some permanent strength loctite for...

Lowering Gurus wanted - The Gaz shock thread

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the advice on this thread, I've been searching for the ideal shocks for about 2 years and have just ordered a set of these from Rallydesign.co.uk with 1.9", 10", 150 springs, I live in Australia, so shipping is normally a killer (but don't have to pay...

72 Dormobile resto on a budget!

Good work! Where did you get these end pieces from? I have just done the same job on my 69 and had to fab my own as I couldn't find anywhere that makes them.
