    As I said above, it could be any of the following. Windscreen seal, windscreen wiper spindle seals, front airbox corrosion, headlight bowl corrosion, etc.

    The hangers are spotwelded many times, and also stitched along the top edge. Would've been an absolute nightmare if you were trying to do it cleanly.

    I was, but late bay chassis legs are 100mm further apart so the bend on the engine bar was right where I needed to mount it. I've cut the moustache bar brackets and moved them up 60mm, so that should give me a bit more clearance.
