If it's been parked up for a while, it could be that your tyres have flat spots on the rear. I had the same problem with my Alfa because it was park up on the drive for two years and made the sound you're describing.

I'll keep the first one for reading in the shitter.

I'd be interested to know how easy this is to do and what the drive is like.

We took our to Budapest and back. This was Slovenia. We camped all the way over a month......it was the best. :D
