For anyone interested I’ve pulled off the foam with the dash in the van and it was pretty easy. I’ve got to repair a bit of it with the welder as when someone in the past fitted a head unit they ripped the metal!
It’ll then need filler and paint but easy really.
I’m tempted to try and fit a...
I’ll probably just attack it sometime then and for the extra holes make some ally feature plates for in the switch recess bits. It’s gotta look better than all the cracks!!
Thanks guys.
Cheers, I've seen the slots and quite like the look of them with some mesh or material behind.
It'd be interesting to know if I can remove the stuff without taking the whole dash out.
Has anyone removed the foam from a early bay dash so it’s bare metal? More importantly has anyone done it with the dash in situ as I don’t fancy taking mine out at the moment but the foam is all cracked and nasty especially by the switches.
Ok so I have an early bay with 5 x 205 rear wheels but fitted with 5x 112 fronts as it has late bay discs.
I’d like to change from the steels currently fitted to wide 5 alloys all round.
Is this possible at all? I’d like to just bolt on a plate etc and not buy expensive brakes if possible.
Paul.
