Hi everyone, I’ve recently bought a type 4 engine with a single mount carb. It has a pipe coming off the carb/ manifold and I have no idea where it should be routed to, at the moment it just has a bolt stuffed in the end! Any help would much appreciated. :|

Cheers for the reply. I have already taken most of them out but I have one that seems to be sticking, it will move freely back and forwards about 10 mm but then stops from coming all the way out. :roll:

Hi everyone, I'm having a real struggle removing one of my solid tappets from my type 4 engine. Does anyone have any ideas how it can be done without splitting the case? Many thanks Denise x :x

Hi guys, I really need some help! I am having trouble getting my bus started mainly from cold. It turns over but will either start instantly or it seems to be flooding the engine and have to bump start it( which is bloody hard work)! Any thoughts? Cheers Denise x

Hi guys, I have a 71 bay and running a type4 2 ltr engine in it. Up till now I have put up with a really heavy clutch( well for a girl anyway) thinking that it was just the norm until I have a quick go in a friends and found it was alot easier!! :cry: Any ideas would be great? Thanks den x

Hi, I have a 71 bay with a late 2 ltr engine which I think was also used in early t25. I'm not 100% sure if all the tin wear is on there, and told it is very important for cooling! Can anyone help with maybe a diagram or similar so I can check? Thanks den x

Hi, i recently had my empi shifter fall apart on me and was wondering what bits went where! The main problem being a thin wire spring, anyone that can shine some light on this I would be very grateful. :roll:

No, I only got it last week. I spoke to supplier and they say they will have it back, but wondered if there was anything I could do before that happened

It won't really move any direction, and have tried it in and out the van with and without the gear stick. :cry:
